After Divorcing at 60, My Life Went into Overdrive

On my grandson’s sixth birthday, I bought a lottery ticket for good luck. To my surprise, I won a jackpot worth tens of millions. I planned to share the news at his birthday party and split the winnings among everyone.

But I never expected my grandson to come at me with a cup of scalding hot water and throw it on me. I tried to reason with him, but my husband told me not to make a fuss. Looking at my family’s cold, indifferent faces, I suddenly felt that none of it was worth it.
