Honghuang: Duobao's Brother, Seeking Only Steady Enlightenment

Lu Chen was reborn in the Primordial World as a Sky-Swallowing Rat, born from a wisp of the Devouring Demon God's origin.

He was born with a glimpse of the Great Dao of Devouring and a divine ability to devour. He also had the Devouring Demon God's companion Spiritual Treasure, the Sky-Swallowing Treasure Vase, by his side.

He had a younger brother named Duobao, whose true form was a Duobao Rat, and a master named Tongtian who doted on him endlessly.

“Big brother, I just found this treasure. It's for you.”

“Good disciple, this is the innate gourd I obtained, along with a Nine-Turn Golden Elixir I just begged from your eldest martial uncle.”

As the elder brother, Lu Chen naturally took his younger brother Duobao's place as the Jie Sect's senior-most disciple.

He taught his junior brothers and sisters to follow just two principles:

Stay cautious. Stick together.

Lu Chen also laid down two rules for the Jie Sect.

“We don't go looking for trouble, but we aren't afraid of it either.”

“If you can settle it with a fight, don't waste time talking. And if you can gang up on someone, don't play the hero!”

Lu Chen held sole authority over the Jie Sect.

Tongtian gave up that authority because he had long since seen through the so-called fate by looking at Lu Chen.

The Great Tribulation of Investiture of the Gods descended.

Lu Chen remained calm, his expression serene. He turned to the Jie Sect Disciples behind him and raised his arm.

“If someone won't let us cultivate in peace, then none of us will be cultivating!”

A struggle between schools of thought?

“Master, you block the door. I'll take our martial siblings and strike first, wiping out the disciples of all three sects.”
