In 1928, the flames of the Northern Expedition had died down, and Shanghai was alive with music and dancing. Zhang Junsheng, the son of a wealthy family, is kidnapped during his birthday banquet. To save the man she loves, designer Song Qinian turns to banker Fu Chengxu for help. In exchange, she must steal a jade disc for him. It turns out that the refined socialite image she presents is a sham: Song Qinian is actually the notorious thief “Jade Cat,” who faked her own death and vanished.
