Pretending Not to Know My Ex on a Dating Show? But He's Coming on Strong

Li Qiao has gone three years without a single dating scandal since her debut. With her pure-yet-sultry face, she plays villains, creating a striking contrast that makes her hugely popular. She joins a dating show to change her image. During the pre-show interview, the director asks how many relationships she’s had, and Li Qiao calmly says she’s never dated anyone. She only planned to make a brief appearance, but unexpectedly spots her ex-boyfriend, whom she broke up with three months ago, on the show! Huo Ting approaches her step by step with a wicked smile. “Baby, if you’ve never dated anyone, then what am I?” Li Qiao: “Uh-oh!” - The game’s rules say that if the contestants can identify the two guests who have a history together before the show ends, they’ll become regulars on the director’s next variety show. Li Qiao: “She hid it so well, there’s no way the production team could know.” So she frantically hunts for clues on the show while doing her best to keep her distance from Huo Ting. But Huo Ting keeps leaning against her, and the other guests gradually start giving them strange looks. Li Qiao: “It’s not what you think!” Huo Ting: “That’s right, I’m Li Qiao’s ex-boyfriend.” The other guests: “Oh, her ex-boyfriend.” The audience: “What? Her ex-boyfriend!” With their relationship exposed, Li Qiao drops the act. “Let’s be honest. I broke up with you because you were poor. You were just a clueless kid starting a business. What did you think you could do for me? Huo Ting, you couldn’t even afford the TK bag I wanted.” The next day, every new-season TK bag is laid out in front of Li Qiao, delivered in person by the head of the Asia-Pacific division. Li Qiao: “I thought I only ordered one from your place.” “Miss Li, Mr. Huo bought all of these for you.” “Which Mr. Huo do you mean...?” Huo Ting walks slowly up to her. “Miss Li, allow me to introduce myself again. I’m Huo Ting, of the Huo family of Hong Kong City.”
