My Boyfriend and I Each Treated the Other as a Substitute

At my proposal, my boyfriend got a tearful call from his white-moonlight, who said she’d accidentally broken her leg. Without a word, he abandoned me and rushed to her side, making me a laughingstock. Without asking me, he brought her back with him.

“An injury like that takes a hundred days to heal, and Xiaohui can’t get around easily. I brought her here so I could take care of her.”

I took a sip of the congee he’d made for her. He snatched away the bowl and pot together.

“I spent five hours making that congee! It’s medicinal food for Xiaohui. Are you really so greedy that you’d even steal someone else’s medicine?”
