On My Birthday, My Wife Gave the Sales Director a Diamond Watch

On my birthday, my wife, Gu Ruyan, bought a diamond watch at an auction. The next day, I saw it on another man’s wrist. He was Chen Zhiqin, the new sales director at Gu Ruyan’s company, and he posted about the watch on Douyin more than ten times. I couldn’t help commenting, “The watch looks great, but it doesn’t really go with your outfit.” Half an hour later, Gu Ruyan called me, furious. “I gave Chen Zhiqin that watch. He deserves it!” “Who asked you to make snide comments about him?”
