On the Eve of My Wedding, the Celestial Prince Pulled Out My Golden Feather to Comfort His One True Love

Every thousand years, the Heavenly Emperor’s descendants face a tribulation of thunder, a trial they are almost certain to die in. Only union with a phoenix maiden gifted with healing powers can turn disaster into fortune. As the phoenix princess, I was destined to become the Heavenly Clan Crown Prince’s immortal consort. But my spirit was incomplete, and I had been born with a defect. Before my mother died, she plucked a golden feather from herself to protect me.

The Crown Prince used the bond between us to borrow my golden feather, hoping to restore the beauty of his beloved after her face was scarred by true fire. But after borrowing it, he vanished without a word. By the day before our wedding, my body could no longer hold out, so I begged him to return the feather. But he was busy cheering up his jealous beloved and refused to give it back, even making a fool of me. Then, on the day the heavenly tribulation was about to begin, I still hadn’t arrived, and he flew into a rage. “It’s just one lousy feather. Fine, I’ll give it back.”

My soul hovered in the air as I sneered. Too late. You can face the tribulation yourself.
