On a Girl Group Survival Show, Every Teammate Gives Up the Center Position

There are two months left until the group debut night. Before our team’s performance, the lead dancer suddenly says she wants to give me the center position. I stare at her in confusion. “The mentors all praised your stage presence. Why give up this opportunity?”

“You… you’re a better fit for the position.” Her smile looks more painful than tears, and she grips the hem of her clothes tightly. It’s obvious she doesn’t mean it.

I’m puzzled by her attitude. “Did I make my moves too big and affect your performance?”

She suddenly trembles all over and looks at me in terror. After a long while, she manages to choke out, “Please, just leave me alone. I won’t compete with you ever again!”
