Lu Man's Countryside Journals

Lu Man, a burned-out office worker, suddenly returns to her village home out of the blue, giving her parents quite a shock.

That night, the three of them huddle together by lamplight. Lu Man spins them a tale: “Dad, Mom, I won the lottery! Let’s build a brick house!”

Her parents draw in sharp breaths, then happily agree.

Little do they know Lu Man hasn’t told them the truth. The real reason is even more outrageous...

[The main story follows Lu Man’s everyday life after she returns to her village. All sorts of little things can happen: this is a slow-paced slice of life.]
