After Eleven Years Together, My Fiancé Threw a Lavish Birthday Party for His Assistant

I had been with Jin Jingzhou for eleven years, and he had never celebrated my birthday. But on my twenty-ninth birthday, his driver brought me to a banquet. Imported flowers of every color filled the room, and a dessert table was piled high with sweets. The dopamine-colored decor made the whole venue look elegant and romantic. Just as I was about to call Jin Jingzhou, the giant screen suddenly lit up, showing a series of personal photos of Gu Xinyi. “Miss Gu, this is a birthday present from Mr. Jin. He wishes you a happy birthday!” Jin Jingzhou’s assistant came up behind me and walked straight over to Gu Xinyi, who was wearing a custom designer gown. The jewelry box was opened, revealing the very set I had once told Jin Jingzhou I wanted more than anything. I slowly raised my eyes to meet Gu Xinyi’s taunting, triumphant gaze. Only then did I understand where the hostility she’d felt toward me since our first meeting came from. Jin Jingzhou had betrayed our love long ago.
