Qing Transmigration: Everyone Likes Dorgon? Then I'll Choose Dodo

[Qing Dynasty transmigration + early Qing + Dorgon + Borjigit Tazhe] When other people transmigrated into the Qing Dynasty, they hoped to be blessed with the good fortune of marrying Hong Taiji, the fourth or eighth prince. Chen Yan wanted none of that. Her elder sister Zhezhe was already securely established as the principal consort, and her niece Bumbutai had been in the palace for years. Why would she want to marry Hong Taiji, the fourth or eighth prince? She just wanted to lie flat. But during the Tianming and Tiancong reigns, neither Zhezhe nor her niece bore a son. Meanwhile, Hong Taiji’s eldest son Hooge and his two younger brothers, Dorgon and Dodo, distinguished themselves on the battlefield and were made beile princes. Planning ahead, Zhezhe sent out a group invitation to Chen Yan and the other Khorchin sisters, hoping they would marry into Later Jin and join the Borjigit team. Everyone liked Dorgon? Then she’d choose Dodo. In the eighth year of Tiancong, Chen Yan became the second principal wife of Dodo, Nurhaci’s fifteenth son and the Beile of Erek Chuhor. In Later Jin, principal consorts were chosen through a competitive process. As the younger sister of the senior consort, Chen Yan got the position without lifting a finger. But she had married a workaholic. Prince Yu Dodo was one of the most distinguished generals among the princes who conquered the Ming and entered the pass to establish the Qing. Among the Manchus, the youngest son inherited the family home, and Dodo was also a potential successor to the throne. Chen Yan was forced to get up and work hard too. After Hong Taiji’s death, his eldest son Hooge and Dorgon contended for the throne. Dodo also had ambitions for it. With the factions locked in a stalemate, Chen Yan had no choice but to step in and mediate between them, relying on her unique status. When the Shunzhi Emperor Fulin ascended the throne, Dodo became a prince regent and imperial uncle, second only to his elder brother Dorgon.
