While I Was Recovering After Childbirth, My Husband Went to Take Photos with His Childhood Sweetheart

On the third day of my postpartum confinement, my husband said an urgent business trip meant he couldn’t stay with me, leaving me alone to care for the baby. Three days later, just after I arrived at the hospital, his childhood sweetheart proudly posted a family photo on social media. I stared in disbelief at my husband’s beaming face in the picture and commented, “?” My husband immediately called to berate me. “She’s a single mother. How pitiful is that? She’s had no man to look after her all this time. I only took a simple photo with her. What’s wrong with you, being so petty?” That evening, his childhood sweetheart posted a photo of a million-yuan set of gold jewelry. “After our family photo, he insisted on giving me a million-yuan set of gold jewelry~” I knew my husband had bought it to appease her. But this time, I was ready to leave him.
