Face-Slapping the Fake Sect Heir Who Accused Me of Stealing His Spirit Sword

The day before the Tianjian Sect's annual tournament, I went alone to the sect's forbidden grounds, the Burning Heaven Purgatory, because it concealed the sect's most precious treasure: the Heavenly Sword. The sect master's voice came through my disciple token, demanding to know why I'd entered the forbidden grounds without his permission. I said nothing as I stripped off every last piece of clothing and resolutely leaped into the heart of the raging flames. In my previous life, I trained day and night to become the sect's next master, and condensed a supreme-grade spirit sword. But on the day of the tournament, the sword I'd created suddenly turned against me. It crippled my cultivation, then flew straight to Haotian, the sect master's son. In front of everyone, my junior, Haotian, accused me of stealing the spirit sword he'd painstakingly condensed. I couldn't defend myself. The enforcement elder confiscated all my treasures and expelled me from the sect. Haotian, meanwhile, stood out in the tournament and became the sect's next master. On my way down the mountain, someone knocked me unconscious and threw me into the Burning Heaven Purgatory. The fires at the earth's core burned me to ashes. Even as I died, I couldn't understand why the spirit sword I'd labored to nurture had recognized someone else as its master. When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the day registration opened for the sect tournament.
