Reborn, I Raised a Fox on My Heart's Blood, but It Wants to Bond with My Sister

I am descended from the bloodline of the Ancient Gods, and I am also the daughter of the previous sect leader. In my past life, my younger sister and I hatched spirit eggs at the same time. I hatched a lifeless beast egg into a six-tailed fox, while my sister's negligence caused her top-grade egg to hatch dead. At the sect's spirit-beast bonding ceremony, the fox I had raised with my heart's blood bit through my neck. He despised me for losing so much cultivation that I could no longer help him advance, and wanted to join my sister instead. As I lay dying, I heard Pei Yuan snarl, “If not for you, I would have been Su Ling's spirit beast, and I'd have been with her long ago!” Only then did I realize he had long been in love with my highly cultivated sister, whom Father had already chosen as his successor. Reborn on the day we were to bond with our spirit beasts, he rushed to kneel before my sister, pledging his life in exchange for a bond with her. I smiled and chose the top-grade dead egg. Pei Yuan became a six-tailed fox because of my heart's blood. He thought that by following my sister, the heir, he could advance into a high-ranking spirit beast and have no trouble ascending to immortality. But he didn't know that the sect leader's heir had to earn the Ancient Gods' approval through an inheritance trial, and the Ancient God of this generation was my mother.
