My best friend, who lives a thousand miles away, suddenly showed up without warning. The moment she saw me, she started wailing about how horribly I had died, then thumped her chest and promised that with her here this time, she'd make sure I got through the apocalypse safe and sound! I tried to call my boyfriend, but she snatched the phone away.
“In our last life, he and his mistress teamed up to kill you, then carved you up and drank your blood!” This time, she's going to help me get revenge!
