A Song of Pingcheng

Time goes back to AD 383. After the Battle of Feishui, the powerful former Qin Empire in northern China suddenly collapsed and fell apart. Tuoba Xianbei was born in this troubled time. After three generations of efforts, Northern Wei Emperor Taiwu Tuoba Tao finally unified northern China, forming a confrontation between the south and the north. The "Southern and Northern Dynasties" in Chinese history began from this time. The illustrious martial arts of Emperor Taiwu laid the foundation for the Northern Wei Dynasty to stand in the Central Plains for 149 years. The Kingdom of the Northern Wei Dynasty, Zuo, ranked sixth among the Chinese feudal dynasties after the Han, Tang, Song, Ming and Qing Dynasties. The heroine of this book, Princess Wuwei, is indeed a real person in history. She married Juqu Muqian, the lord of Northern Liang (Hexi), and Li Gai, a famous official. The story of her love and marriage is worth recalling for future generations. In terms of political contribution, without this strong-willed princess, the confrontation between the Northern and Southern Dynasties might have been delayed for several years. As a historical fan of the Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties, when I accidentally read this novel, which uses the Taiwu Dynasty as the creative background and from the perspective of the princess, it restores the political structure, social style, and people's customs of the early Northern Wei Dynasty from all aspects. I can't express my surprise! In terms of storyline, as a novel, there must be some fiction, but as for the historical context and events, the author has the original intention of respecting and restoring the historical overview, adheres to the artistic principle of "being true to the big things and not constrained in the small parts", trying his best to add stories in the gaps in the historical data, and dance in shackles. It is worth mentioning that the princess in the novel is replaced by the princess. At first I didn't understand why the author made such changes, but when I caught up with the latest chapter, I suddenly understood that the author was pursuing the richness of the characters and the tension of the relationships between the characters. For example, the princess is worried about whether she will become an abandoned son after completing her marriage mission, which leads to many tense plots. If it were Tuoba Tao's biological sister in history, there would be no need to worry. In short, I am very optimistic about this novel with its profound historical background, brilliant character creation, and unconventional style. I hope it can be seen by more people and even be put on the big screen!

Congratulations on the completion, spread the flowers🌹🌹🌹

😂The first time I pinched the picture, the effect was not very good (but the temperament of the character is still close to my imagination), the readers will just make do with it~

I like it so much, the big text makes me feel so comfortable!

It looks good. I'll update it soon.

I haven't seen such a good historical novel in a long time. The background is the Northern Wei Dynasty, which I like.

Keep updating daily, keep up the good work!
