At the College Send-Off Banquet, My Brother Burned My Acceptance Letter

At my college admission celebration, my older brother got drunk and threatened to burn my admission letter. He said, “What's so special about getting into a top university? If you can get into Tsinghua or Peking University, I'll pay for your tuition!” I tried to stop him, but my mom held me back. “You need to let your brother save face in front of everyone. If he burns it, you can just take the exam again.” Three years of hard work went up in flames at his hands. Later, I repeated the year in tears, while my brother kept drinking every day. When I criticized him, he got drunk and violent again, punching me to death! When I opened my eyes, I was back at the admission celebration. I swapped my letter for his million-yuan contract. “Go ahead and burn it. When you're done, I'll burn paper money for you.”
