The Blessed Consort

My best friend and I transmigrated into beastmen. She became a beautiful, resplendent spirit sparrow, while I became a simpleminded, lovable wild boar spirit. By chance, my friend was summoned to the palace at the Noble Consort’s request. But after the emperor casually praised her, the Noble Consort grew jealous and had her roasted in front of everyone. Her beautiful feathers were made into a magnificent feathered robe. Holding the feathers, the Noble Consort sneered arrogantly that being of use to her was a monster’s good fortune, and that this colorful dance robe would make the perfect birthday gift for the princess. Three years later, I disguise myself as one of the Noble Consort’s attendants and wait on the emperor when she’s indisposed. The emperor has no children, while I’m a wild boar spirit naturally gifted at bearing children. If I want to, my offspring could overrun the entire palace. The arrogant Noble Consort, who prides herself on having a daughter, has no idea that hatred will soon drag her into the abyss.
