Hyacinth and Xiaofei Lian

Have you ever heard of "The Theory of Love of Lotus" written by Northern Song Dynasty Neo-Confucian Zhou Dunyi? There are two poems in it, as if they were tailor-made for my young lady. They describe it this way: "I only love the lotus that comes out of the mud but is not stained. It washes clear ripples without being demonic.
