Great Qian: The Former Crown Prince's Magical Restoration

Some people use magic while passing it off as stage tricks.

Hypnosis to beguile the mind; beast speech to communicate with animals; hair control to pick locks and manipulate objects; disguise to change one’s face…

Yang Jian, a genius magician, possessed tricks even more outrageous than those of the Four Horsemen. After transmigrating to the Great Qian dynasty, he became the crown prince of a fallen kingdom.

From then on, he amassed money and provisions, recruited a private army, gathered talented people, and formed the Shadow Guard, the Bad People, all while walking on the edge of a blade.

At court, he played a mysterious celestial master and beguiled the Great Qian emperor;

Before armies of thousands, he conjured a flying fire dragon to boost the soldiers’ morale.

Years later, Yang Jian sat upon the imperial throne, a beautiful woman nestled in his arms. Recalling the years gone by, he smiled and said, “I never intended to become emperor. But my beloved consort fanned the flames, and my soldiers draped me in the imperial robes. With no other choice, I took this throne, which isn’t all that comfortable.”
