I Died in a Blizzard, and My Husband Killed His One True Love

After we married, my husband told me I was nothing but a stand-in for the woman he loved, trampling all over my self-respect. On a night of heavy snow, he shut me outside. I endured the pain in my heart as I waited for him to sign the divorce papers. But he insisted on leaving. “Qianqian’s in trouble. I have to go be with her.”

“Don’t go. I’m dying. You have to sign today.”

He shoved me away. “You’re full of lies. If you’re going to die, then hurry up and do it!”

I watched him walk away without looking back, then collapsed hard into the snow. Later, I vanished completely, and my husband was consumed by grief.
