Great Tang: From the Start, I Invite Li Shimin to Join My Rebellion!

After transmigrating to the Tang Dynasty, Li Wuyou becomes the illegitimate son of Crown Prince Li Chengqian. From the start, he takes office as magistrate of Wuyou Village, determined to turn it into an impregnable fortress! He manufactures gunpowder and glass, recruits talented people, and builds high walls, all to help his father seize the throne in the future. At this time, Crown Prince Li Chengqian is being petitioned by the ministers to step aside because of his leg ailment, with a request that another heir be chosen to inherit the throne! After a particularly frustrating morning court, Li Chengqian cannot resist going to see his son, but Li Shimin catches him. So the two disguise themselves and head for the county where Li Wuyou lives! After talking with them, Li Wuyou is delighted. These two are no less talented than Fang Xuanling and Du Ruhui. He decides to reveal his intentions and recruit them. “To be frank, the current Son of Heaven is unjust. Though my father is the crown prince, he is not favored.” “You are both men of great talent. Why not become sworn brothers today and plot something great together?” Hearing this, Li Chengqian feels a chill run down his spine and hurriedly glances at his father beside him. Li Shimin’s eyes are cold as he thinks, So this is what my son usually says about me? How can even this grandson I’ve never met think that way of me? “My young friend, why do you want to rebel?” “Rebel? My father’s surname is Li, and so is my grandfather’s! At most, this is called seizing the throne!” “Besides, I want the Son of Heaven to know that although my father may not be exceptional, he has a son who is!” “That alone is more than enough to get my father onto the throne!” Li Chengqian: ??? I’m doing just fine as crown prince. Why would I want to seize the throne? How is this even possible?
