Six Years After My Death, the General Regretted It

Six years after I died, Xie Zhuo returned to court victorious. To force me to show myself, he arrested my entire family on charges of treason. He threatened everyone: “Hand over Su Qing, and I’ll spare your lives.” My younger sister, who had only just turned fifteen, snatched a knife from one of his men and slit her own throat. Before she died, she said to Xie Zhuo, “My elder sister died long ago. In the first year you went to the border, the Xiongnu slaughtered the entire city. She dug you out of a mountain of corpses and took you to Spring City.”
