Falling as Rain

May the wind at five in the morning leave each of us with our most beautiful faces. Deep-red carp swim east and west. White cranes fly in formation over ancient pines. Every bit of growth has its traces, and even the things that fall apart can be unbreakable. Kindness, encounters, and life’s most hidden regrets and pain are all here in the quiet of the night, told to you slowly and gently! That summer, she met them. But surely they met her just the same. There is no telling who entered whose world. Smile, and call it fate, as though it was meant to be!
