The Qing-Dynasty Time-Traveling Empress Has Gone Mad

Xin Yu transmigrates into the Qing dynasty as its famous Empress Consort, remembered for cutting off her hair. Faced with this start and a mysterious childbirth System, she can only grit her teeth and take things one step at a time, rising from Side Consort to Consort Xian, then to Noble Consort Xian, Imperial Noble Consort, and finally Empress Consort. Looking at how things are going, she thinks, It's over, it's over. Is it time for me to cut off my hair and go mad?

Xin Yu takes the scissors and looks at her head of beautiful hair. In the end, she steels herself and snip!

But who knew that Qianlong would be such a jerk? He actually corners her and says, “Empress, you're getting crazier by the day. You even dare to cut your hair. Looks like you still haven't had enough children.”

“Huh?”

Xin Yu is left utterly confused as Qianlong drags her off to make a baby. This isn't how it's supposed to go! Isn't Qianlong supposed to call the empress crazy and lock her away?

(A fictionalized Qing dynasty setting. Please don't nitpick.)
