After Ascending with the Heartless Sword, My Senior Brother Went Mad

Han Yichen and I were a celebrated couple of cultivators, praised by all as paragons of the righteous path. But we had never made a soulmate pact. His beloved was our junior sister. After I searched for years without finding an Ice Soul Flower, he turned around and gave one to her. I offered to trade an Earth-rank magical treasure for it. She plucked off the flower's petals one by one, her smile bright and her eyes full of defiance. “Senior Sister, Senior Brother knows I can't stand the heat, so he gave me this flower to keep me cool. How could I give it to someone else?” “Besides, all I have to do is ask, and Senior Brother will gladly hand over any magical treasure. Why would I need to trade with anyone?” But after I cultivated the Heartless Dao and ascended, Han Yichen was consumed by inner demons and went completely mad.
