Great Ming: From the Start, Teaching Zhu Di in the Imperial Prison

The good news: Hu Ke transmigrated and became the nephew of the current prime minister. The bad news: that prime minister is Hu Weiyong. Accused of guilt by association and thrown into prison, he is to be executed in ten days. Once again, his life is counting down. With no way out, Hu Ke decides to stop holding back and starts telling the jailers outrageous things. “The princes of the Ming Dynasty will bring disaster one day. The Prince of Yan is the most likely to rebel.” He doesn’t realize that the jailer before him is Zhu Di, while on the other side of the cell stands none other than Crown Prince Zhu Biao.

“The Ming Dynasty’s maritime ban is a dead end? That’s because you haven’t figured out who benefits. The Ming paper currency is worthless? That’s because you’re incompetent and too ambitious. The Ming princes are a burden? That’s because you’ve put them to the wrong use. The Ming realm is already big enough? Bullshit! Wherever the sun and moon shine should belong to the Ming!”

On the day he is to be taken to the execution ground, the despairing Hu Ke is already wondering whether to copy someone else’s farewell poem so he can leave some trace that he once lived. Then the prison wall comes crashing down, and a dignified voice rings out: “I am Zhu Yuanzhang. I have decided to give you a chance.”
