Healing Qin

The first lesson in medicine is diagnosis: inspection, listening and smelling, inquiry, and palpation. The same applies to treating an illness and governing a nation. By observing the empire’s public face, you can tell whether turmoil is brewing beneath the surface. By listening to the empire’s high-ranking officials and spokesmen, you can learn where the people’s hearts lie. By questioning the empire’s laws and regulations, you can discover the hidden ailments that will bring about its downfall. By feeling the empire’s pulse from top to bottom, you can understand its rise and fall through the ages. Fang Yan transmigrated as the adopted son of Xia Wuju, the physician who served the emperor, and took part in the Shaqiu upheaval firsthand. Ying Zheng was dead, and Fusu was about to take his own life. The truth of history was always hard to fathom. “Now that I’m here, why not heal Qin and save it?” Watching Li Si press Fusu at every turn, Fang Yan drew the sword in his hand and thrust it at the man behind Li Si. “Your Highness, please join forces with General Meng, raise an army to defend the emperor, and capture the traitor Zhao Gao!” … With a single thought from Fang Yan, history was rewritten. Yet even after Fusu took the throne, the Qin Empire was riven with conflict and stood on the brink of collapse. Ridding Qin of its deep-rooted ills became an unshakable conviction in Fang Yan’s heart. As the story unfolded, countless famous figures from history took the stage. Some were remedies, and some were poison… This is a very different story of the Qin Empire!
