Leaping Through the Dragon Gate: From King Wu of Zhou's White Fish Sacrifice to Heaven

Legend has it that when King Wu of Zhou marched against King Zhou of Shang, a white fish leaped into his boat as he crossed the river.

When Jiang Ziya saw it, he congratulated the king: Fish have scales, like people wearing armor. This was an omen of war.

White was the official color of the Shang dynasty. The white fish entering the boat symbolized the people of Shang turning to Zhou, and foretold that Zhou would replace Shang.

King Wu was overjoyed to hear this and picked up the white fish to offer it to Heaven.

Later, Zhou won a decisive victory at Muye, defeating 170,000 troops with just 50,000 and securing the throne for the Son of Heaven.

But what if the white fish King Wu offered to Heaven had not died?

A mysterious pearl brought Li here in the form of a fish.

From that moment on, the course of history took a different turn.

Myths became reality, and legends entered the human world.

And he would become the first true dragon in the human realm to leap through the Dragon Gate!
