At First Sight, Nanxi, I Swore My Love

The first time he saw her, she was a distant figure on the lecture platform, speaking animatedly. Qin Shiyan couldn’t make out what she was saying, but from the way she carried herself, she seemed highly cultured. The next time, he finally saw her up close. Qin Shiyan gave her a quick once-over: a straight nose, rosy lips, a small face, a slender waist, and long legs. He especially loved those long legs. When they met again, she was covered in dust, with mud smeared on the tip of her nose, completely unaware of it. She looked just like a goofy husky panting with its mouth open in the middle of the team, and it was hilarious. She seemed completely oblivious to it herself. Later, they started chatting. During a livestream call-in, he answered her questions about intangible cultural heritage. Pretending to be casual, Qin Shiyan asked the question he had prepared: “Which came first, Sichuan embroidery or regular embroidery? And which one has better prospects for making money?” This is the story of a poor young man, Qin Shiyan, falling in love and pursuing his wife, along with a tale of preserving and protecting intangible cultural heritage.
