For You, in the Wind of Longing

I lean on the balcony as the evening breeze drifts by, and memories of all our little moments come flooding back. In the heat of summer, a girl confesses her feelings, a boy’s heart stirs, and at eighteen, you’re still here with me. Girl: “Xu Chen, I’m eighteen.” Boy: “I know.” Girl: “Aren’t you... going to say something?” Boy: “What does the young lady want to hear?” Girl: “Why don’t you tell me?” Boy: “I like you.” Boy: “So... I want to marry you when it’s legal.” I was waiting for the wind, and I was waiting for you... And then I found you. “I want to bring you a bouquet of gardenias.” “I want to bring you a bouquet of red roses when I marry you.”
