Flower Shadows on the East Wall

[First person perspective, be warning] I grew up in the south of the Yangtze River, and I am used to seeing white walls and black tiles, deep bluestone alleys, swaying wind chimes, bamboo horses and green plum blossoms. It wasn't until that day when my dearest brother passed away, and I stepped into the Nine-layered City in mourning clothes, that I realized that it was already too late. In a daze, I saw the misty rain in the south of the Yangtze River again, saw the shadow of Begonia flowers moving up the east wall, the bright moon rising from the lakeside, and saw his smiling eyes in the sky filled with fireworks, and the little me in his eyes.
