The Lover's Commandment

Su Su is a spoiled little heartbreaker who throws her weight around, and she's set her sights on the refined and proper Xie Heng. She thought she'd have to scheme and struggle to get what she wanted, but he simply raised his deep-set eyes and calmly fell into her trap. Miss Su said coyly, “My family may be well-off, but I'll treat you well from now on.” Xie Heng only smiled, saying nothing. Later, she learned that he was the heir to a century-old family in the capital. His silence back then had been because he thought little of her family's wealth. At the family head's succession ceremony, Xie Heng stood solemn and imposing in a dark suit, wearing gold-rimmed glasses as he held three sticks of incense and paid his respects. Years later, everyone knew that Xie Heng, head of the Xie family, was completely wrapped around one young woman's finger. Someone asked, “I hear Mrs. Xie is very good at keeping her husband in line?” Su Su blinked. “Probably because I'm pretty. He was after my looks from the very beginning.”
