The Stream Passes Away

The novel describes a story that took place in a small mountain village in the early 1920s. The heroine Xiang'er was rescued by a young man from a river on a rainy day and fell in love with this man at first sight. This man was the hero Su Liwen. Unexpectedly, Liwen left home to join the revolution and was married by Su Ligui, the second son of the Su family who had always admired her. However, Xiang'er stubbornly waited for Su Liwen's return. The four sons of the Su family left home and joined the revolutionary torrent. The novel revolves around the life of the hard-working and kind-hearted Xiang'er who looks forward to the return of her lover in the Su family with her persistent love, as well as the story of the struggles of the sons and daughters of the Su family.
