It's a good read. I don't dislike the male protagonist, nor the female protagonist. The only shortcoming is that there are too few. The female protagonist is engaged in infrastructure construction, which really touched my heart. I used to read historical novels with male protagonists doing it, but it was always interspersed with pretentious harems and the like, and there was too much romance. This book is very comfortable to read, and it also makes the image of civilian slaves three-dimensional. I like every character very much!
