My personal opinion, don't criticize if you don't like it, don't blame the author!
How should I put it? The story is very good and the entry point is good, but... But I don't know how the author arranged this pace. It feels like the progress is too fast. From the time when King Ming came to the world, to recruiting hundreds of thousands of believers, to capturing Bozhou, and to leading hundreds of thousands of soldiers and civilians, it only took two or three short chapters. It's not a bad thing to go fast. After all, online articles nowadays emphasize a fast pace to attract follow-up reading. However, if it is too fast, it will feel like you are reading an outline. With a normal rhythm, I can write five or six chapters when King Ming comes to the world. At least I have to describe the characters such as "Shi Shoudao" who was the protagonist at that time. During this period, did anyone have any doubts, and how to dispel the doubts and establish the character of "the reincarnation of the immortal" among dozens of people in the ruined temple. Then to develop power, where does the protagonist get the money? Where did the food come from? What methods were used to make more people, nobles, and local officials believe in him and give him money and food? Then the troops were trained and controlled by those "confidants". Several more confidants and warriors should be described. But at present, the protagonists of the first three chapters of "Millions of Believers" and "Ten Thousands of Elite Soldiers" only describe one military advisor, Shi Shoudao. How good the description is, I am too lazy to say. These can be done without procrastination, or can go smoothly, but at least, they should be written. The plot should develop in a process, like a thread, and be narrated in a eloquent way, instead of succeeding in power all at once, and then recalling the success in dozens of words, so that there is no feeling. There are still some problems, such as the flashback of Lord Luo at the beginning. The flashback at the beginning is not impossible, but at such a fast pace. Even in the book, there are only two characters, the protagonist and Shi Shoudao, and the reader does not yet understand the protagonist's power and development. If you flashback and recall two years ago, you will feel a little confused. This will not give readers the feeling of emotional fluctuations, the growth of power, the ups and downs, or the feeling of growing from small to big, becoming bigger and stronger. Of course, this is my own opinion. I have only read Chapter 4. What attracted me was that it was very novel. Few people wrote about novelty in the late Tang Dynasty. Moreover, it started in a "barbaric land" like Banzhou, so I felt a sense of expectation. Specifically, I don't know what the author's plan will be later, or there are other arrangements. I think I will go through the process of getting rich in a few strokes, so I stopped reading it for the time being. It is also because of the above reasons. I can only say that what attracted me was the subject matter. I left it because the beginning was simple and crude, and the progress was too fast, and I gradually lost interest. Summary: The book is good, and so is the author's ideas. He started from Bonshu, jumped out to ten foreign countries, and started from the aspect of faith. The beginning is very novel. If there is a supporting writing layout, proper description of details, and good operation, it will still be a quality book.
The Yang family in Bozhou flourished for more than 700 years from the end of the Tang Dynasty to the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. They were chieftains for generations and once resisted the Mongolian invasion. Very harmful.
Why didn't you write the previous one?
This is the best time to mess around, the world has not completely collapsed, and it is also a time to gain seniority and gain power.
