The Farmhouse Family’s Beloved Little Lucky Star Is a Koi

The Chen family’s daughter-in-law had never been able to conceive. When she finally became pregnant, the whole family was overjoyed. For the sake of his precious grandson, Granny Chen wouldn’t even let her daughter-in-law lift a single tassel, for fear she might get tired. She made sure the pregnant woman got all the food, afraid her grandson might go hungry. After ten months of pregnancy, the baby finally arrived, and it was a girl! But who could have guessed that from that very day, good fortune would begin to find the Chen family? A torrential rain brought wealth down from the sky. Even chopping a pile of firewood could make them money. Luck seemed bewitched, rushing straight into the Chen family, and nothing could stop it. Granny Chen sat with her precious granddaughter beneath the silk tree and told the other women, “My girl is so fair and lovely, just look at her! She smells so sweet, she’s like a flower fairy come down to earth. My girl is a little treasure of good fortune!” “Your lucky little treasure, lend her to me, will you?” “Let me soak up some of her good fortune too!” The girl who should have been scorned by everyone became the family’s beloved lucky treasure.
