A Tender Trap

[The male lead is a little yandere, with loyal-dog tendencies; one-on-one romance, both leads are each other's first]

Ever since breaking up with her ex-boyfriend, Yu Yi kept running into Yin Xun, one chance encounter after another.

Yin Xun was young, handsome, fit, gentle, and gentlemanly, the sort of man everyone adored.

There was just one small problem: he was her ex-boyfriend's younger brother. What a shame.

One day, he cornered Yu Yi in an underground parking garage. His burning palm rested against the back of her neck, and before her was his utterly undisguised gaze.

Only then did she realize that all those encounters she thought were accidental had actually been carefully planned by him from the start.

Little Scene:

They ran into each other again in Yunding Town. After hearing the volunteer teacher ask the students about their hobbies, Yin Xun leaned against the railing and asked Yu Yi, “What are your hobbies?”

“Lots of things.” Yu Yi counted them off on her fingers. “I love everything beautiful in this world: thick smoke, strong liquor, and fiery beauties.”

She deliberately looked Yin Xun up and down. As he stiffened, she drawled, “They don't have to be fiery, though. Someone like Mr. Yin would do just fine.”

Seeing him freeze, she burst out laughing. “I'm just teasing you.”

Everyone suspected Yin Xun had ulterior motives for approaching Yu Yi. He carefully pieced together the kind of person she liked, dressed himself in a disguise of gentleness and good manners, and edged closer to her, little by little.

Later, that disguise was torn away. Like a gambler who had lost everything, he stood in a shadowy corner, waiting for his sentence.

But she gently lifted his chin. “You really think your disguise was convincing?”

“You gave yourself away ages ago, Mr. Yin.”
