My Takeout Was Stolen, So I Ordered a Serving of Extra-Spicy Food

Also known as: “I’m the Brat’s Worst Nightmare,” “If Apologies Worked, What Would We Need the Police For?,” “I Took That Punch,” and “Sorry, I Don’t Accept Reconciliation” Li Zhengyi, a miserable office worker, had his food delivery stolen for ten days straight. At his wits’ end, he ordered something insanely spicy, but that got stolen too. Almost starving to death at home, he finally went to confront the thief, only to have the blame turned back on him. “He’s just a kid. Why are you making a fuss?” “You’re a grown adult. Why are you so narrow-minded?” “So what if he took your delivery? It’s not like you’ll starve to death!” “You’re so cruel, ordering food that spicy and putting our child in the hospital! I’m suing you!” At last, office worker Li Zhengyi decided to fight back against this screwed-up life. There were only three things I, Li Zhengyi, wanted! “Justice!” “Justice!” “And damn it, more justice!” Facing those unreasonable people again: “You’re an adult. Why are you picking a fight with a child?” “You’re young and fit. Why are you picking a fight with an old person like me?” “Setting the facts aside, don’t you think you, as a man, are at least partly to blame?” “If you weren’t the one who knocked it over, why did you pick it up?” “You changed the Wi-Fi password and stopped my child from attending online classes. What if they can’t get into Tsinghua?” Li Zhengyi: If apologies worked, what would we need the police for? The path of justice lies right beneath our feet.
