Patients with vitiligo are called "children of the moon". Albinism is a hereditary vitiligo caused by a lack of melanin in the skin and its accessory organs or a synthesis disorder caused by tyrosinase deficiency or dysfunction. It is characterized by congenital partial or complete depigmentation of the eyes, skin and hair, or only depigmentation of the eyes. The prevalence rate is about 1/17,000.
