With the Case in Hand, I Pull You Into My Arms

He was the boy she had liked all those years ago. She was the regret he had kept buried in his heart. Ten years later, a suicide case resembling one from a decade earlier brought them together again. But neither of them expected that a letter from ten years ago would entangle their past and present. Watching her earnestly investigate the case, he looked baffled. “I remember you being such a naive sweetheart.” “Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts all these years. So I’ve always been sweet and innocent in your eyes? It must have been exhausting to have a crush on me for so long.” He snorted. “And who was it that had a crush on me back then?” “My taste was bad back then. He could barely run without coming in second-to-last!” “At least there was still someone in last place.” “That’s because the person in last place didn’t even finish the race. He was so weak and delicate, with no manliness at all.” The next day, after overhearing their conversation, he secretly went to the gym and hired a personal trainer. “If I’d been just a little braver back then, would we not have missed each other? But what you don’t know is that I ran out of courage a long time ago.” Jian Yunsheng “There was only one reason I went to City W: it had the sea. Do you know how much courage it took to tell you back then, ‘Come see the sea with me’?” Zhou Jiayi “From the very beginning, I knew this love was destined to be a one-person show. In the end, I still couldn’t compete with how openly she loved you.” Tao Qinghe
