After Being Wanted, I Became the Magistrate's Beloved

[The infamous fugitive VS the righteous Assistant Minister of the Court of Judicial Review] Fu Mingqing was inadvertently caught up in a massacre that wiped out an entire household. As the adopted daughter of the Fu family, whose blood had remarkable properties, she became the sole suspect in the case. Alone and wanted by the authorities, Fu Mingqing had nowhere to run. By chance, she stumbled into a ruined temple and found He Shujin, an Assistant Minister of the Court of Judicial Review, poisoned and on the brink of death. Seeing the official token at He Shujin’s waist and hearing the man earnestly promise, with a perfectly straight face, to repay her, a bold idea came to Fu Mingqing... She looked at him and smiled. “You want to repay me? All right. I don’t want anything else. From now on, you belong to me!” The man’s ears turned red. “That can be arranged, but please allow me to inform my parents first. Then His Majesty can arrange the formal betrothal gifts and ceremonies before I come to marry you.” Fu Mingqing was stunned. But she had yet to avenge her family. How could she marry now? Looking at He Shujin, Fu Mingqing raised her clear eyes and said loudly, “Young Master, there’s no need to panic. I meant, would you be willing to work for me from now on?”
