A Thousand Years to Clear My Name

The Chen family was massacred in the depths of winter in the ninth year of Longtian. That night, the greatest snowfall in the history of the Longtian Kingdom blanketed the land. A thousand years later, archaeologists unearthed an ancient book titled Biographies of General Chen and Other Longtian Figures in the former capital of Longtian. The book said: “Chen Sheng'an was a bandit. He served Emperor Longwu of Longtian and fought for over a decade, eventually earning the title of Grand General Who Guards the Nation. In the ninth year of Longtian, the emperor grew jealous and sent the bandit into Longtian City by night to kill General Chen and slaughter his entire family. A heavy snow fell that night.”
