The Best Actress Is Leaving Me on Read Again Today

[Free to read in full, probably a little sweet treat]

Everyone in Qi Shili’s circle knew he kept a young actress, whom he had pampered for two years. Everyone who had met his little lover said she was deeply in love with him.

Even Qi Shili thought so.

But when he finally gathered the courage to propose, Lin Sumian, the woman who supposedly loved him deeply, was very touched… and turned him down.

Qi Shili: She must be afraid to cross the line because of our contract.

My little darling really does love me deeply.

Lin Sumian is a minor actress. Two years ago, saddled with massive debt, she signed a contract with Qi Shili, CEO of the Qi Group.

She had mastered the art of leaving messages on read. First apologize, then give an excuse, then change the subject and ask how he’s doing. A dozen messages in a row, and she could have anyone eating out of her hand. She’d never once failed.

That was how she kept Qi Shili thoroughly brushed off.

On the day the contract expired, Lin Sumian sent Qi Shili dozens of messages to say goodbye, and then…

Qi Shili appeared in front of her and proposed.

Lin Sumian: What? You couldn’t tell I was brushing you off?
