Right at the Doorstep

A home's front door is its foundation, its beginning, and the starting point of its growth. After the reform and opening up, people's lives changed beyond recognition. The five years their father spent serving in the military changed the course of their lives. His family's lack of understanding and his comrades' rescue were both essential to his growth. The birth of a child brought new life into the family, and meant that the family, its home, and the people in it had all changed. In their new surroundings, the father and mother continued to protect their family through their own hard work.
