The Emperor Will Kill

As the only princess of the Yongyao Kingdom, she had little interest in music, chess, calligraphy, or painting. The only thing she loved was practicing with spears and swords. One day, her father the emperor asked her out of curiosity, “What if you met a man you fancied, but he didn’t love you?” She answered without hesitation. “Knock him out, lock him in a cage, and keep him all to myself.” Everyone was stunned. At the time, she had tamed a ferocious beast in the mountains. Enamored with its mighty appearance, she brought it back to the palace and ordered a cage of gold and jade to be made for it. She fed it delicacies day and night, but gave it no freedom. Later, she never met a man like that. Instead, she met a madman. He whispered in her ear. “Xi’er, tell me, who is it you really like?” Everyone in the realm said they were a perfect match. One was the founding dragon who united the realm, the other a god of war with peerless command of the battlefield. Each had forged a legend in their own domain, achieving unprecedented glory. Yes, they were a perfect match. If only she had been a general of another kingdom. Unfortunately, he was the emperor of an enemy state. He had slowly broken the pride in her bones, ground down her arrogance bit by bit, and torn away every last trace of her defiance, all just to keep her with him, locked at his side forever. In return, on their wedding night, she plunged a knife through his heart and pushed him off a cliff. Then, smiling brightly, she turned and walked away. Obsessive male lead vs. unhinged female lead
