The Pure Heart Pavilion of the Great Ming

In the fourteenth year of Hongwu, the Ming government established the Court of Judicial Review. Its main responsibility was to try criminal cases, ensuring that the law was applied according to the facts and that punishments fit the crimes. Since the court was staffed entirely by men, investigating cases in the inner residences of powerful families, or even in women’s quarters, could be difficult. So the court established the Suxin Pavilion as a separate branch, recruiting talented women from across the country to handle such cases. See how Tan Yuanqiu, head of the Suxin Pavilion, leads a group of girls with very different personalities to solve strange cases!
