A Wealthy Man's Beloved Wife: I'll Support This Chancellor

The only daughter of a wealthy merchant marries a poor scholar eight years her senior, a “seasoned” scholar who has already been married once. The reason is probably that the scholar is so handsome that Ruan Yuan, with her young girl’s heart, cannot stop thinking about him! With Ruan Yuan safeguarding his talent and his path through the imperial exams, Guo Qianyin rises to the highest ranks of the court, second only to the emperor, The Outcast above millions. “Ruan Yuan, what are you making a fuss about?” Guo Qianyin cannot understand why, now that he is nearly forty, his wife wants a divorce. A cup shatters. Ruan Yuan sneers. “First there’s your ex-wife, then your childhood sweetheart, and every so often another confidante pops up. I’m fed up. We’re getting divorced, and we’re doing it now! I’m done supporting you as prime minister. Get out of my house this instant.” The dignified prime minister’s mansion, down to the tiniest detail, and even his robes are all paid for with the Ruan family’s money? More astonishingly, his wife is the richest woman in the country! “These are all my dowry. Surely the prime minister wouldn’t stoop to embezzling it?” “Divorce? Did I say you could?” Guo Qianyin thinks to himself: Even if it costs me everything, what’s wrong with living off my wife? She simply can’t leave me. Some angst. The male lead isn’t weak, and gradually grows stronger. He has principles and won’t become ridiculously overpowered.
