A Spicy Mom's Struggle in the 1980s

Ji Qing, a ruthless veteran of the advertising world, wakes up one day in an 1980s novel, as the hapless mother of a supporting character who shares her name.

Wasn’t she supposed to be a terrible, selfish mom who favored sons over daughters beyond all hope of redemption?

Turns out even the most hateful people have their reasons.

Well, now she’s the one living this life.

First, she’ll earn some startup capital, then dump the girl’s father, who really does favor sons over daughters. After that, she’ll buy a house and land, start a business with Niuniu, and make a fortune. They’ll eat well, drink well, and live happily ever after!

Just as she’s ready to make her mark, ahem, what are you doing, big guy?

I’m not looking for a stepfather for Niuniu…
