Hard to Find Again

There is nothing shameful about growing up in a single-parent family, and a blended family is nothing to be ashamed of either. But when the single parents of two classmates get together, that is another matter entirely: it is downright mortifying. Wen He simply could not remain unmoved, so she immediately joined forces with Xu Chengyi to form an alliance dedicated to mischief. They put into practice the strategic principle of achieving their goals by any means necessary, but they also personally experienced the desolation and frustration of seeing all their efforts come to nothing because they were outmatched. A new family, a new beginning, yet their relationship had returned to square one overnight. Their refusal to hear and refusal to see drove the family atmosphere to freezing point. Loving each other was out of the question, so breaking the ice became an urgent priority. Since they had to see each other every day, after several tentative probes, they finally discovered that a devil lived in their hearts. This devil was famously timid, unwilling to open its arms for fear of being hurt. After a series of bold maneuvers, the devil finally saw the light and even came to a realization, which it wrote into a couplet:

First line: The little white rabbit dreams of becoming a big gray wolf, while one bite from the big gray wolf turns him into a lover;

Second line: Never wanting to share the wolf's den but having nowhere to hide, all he can do is wag his tail and cry for his parents.

Horizontal inscription: We are all family.
